Nurse Practitioners

Our Nurse Practitioners work alongside the on call GP providing telephone triage and face to face consultations for patients presenting with urgent problems who require same day appointments. Nurse Practitioners are able to assess, diagnose, and treat acute minor illnesses and a wide range of medical conditions.

Telephone triage is a service which assesses and prioritises conditions to enable the best use of clinical resources.

Practice Nurses

Our team of Registered General Nurses are available by appointment for many services including contraception advice, emergency contraception, cervical smear tests, removal of stitches, injections, blood pressure tests, travel advice and vaccinations, childhood immunisations, dressings, asthma checks, heart disease advice, stroke advice, diabetes monitoring, and hay fever advice.

Healthcare Assistants

Our Health Care Assistants (HCAs) support the Practice Nurses and have been fully trained to take blood, perform ECGs, take blood pressure, and carry out annual and new patient health checks.
