Heart Month

February is Heart Month.

So, what does that mean? It’s all about raising awareness of heart issues and making sure that they are at the forefront of our minds. The British Heart Foundation is 60 years old, and has funded vital research and supported many thousands of families.

In the 1960s over 7 in 10 heart attacks were fatal. Now, thanks to improvements in treatment and research, over 7 in 10 people who have a heart attack survive. An increase in the number of people who know how to perform CPR helps to improve the survival chances of anyone suffering a heart attack. Would you know what you need to do?
