Walking group registration

We have recently started chatty/friendship walking groups led by our Social Prescribing Link Workers. The walks are aimed at those wishing to exercise gently and there are currently six groups with weekly walks starting from Abbeydale Community Centre at 10am, 11am, and midday on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each walk will last approximately 30-45 minutes. You are very welcome to come and join any of these groups, we look forward to seeing you.

Disclaimer for Hadwen Health Walking Group

Walking is one of the healthiest and safest outdoor activities. However, neither Hadwen Health nor the Walk Leader has control of the environment of the walks, the weather, any animals or indeed any of the walkers themselves and whilst taking normal precautions, and providing reasonable help and assistance if necessary, they cannot accept responsibility or legal liability for any circumstances affecting the health and safety of any walker in the group. Participants are therefore responsible for assessing their own risk and safety.

Dogs are not permitted on any of the walks.  Participants on walks should follow the advice/instructions of the Walk Leader in order to minimise risk to themselves and should also ensure that they do not endanger any others in the party. Any medical conditions that may affect any participant during the walk should be notified to the Walk Leader prior to the start of each walk. Participants should also ensure that they wear footwear, clothing, and sun protection appropriate for the weather conditions on the day of each walk, and ensure that they are sufficiently hydrated.
