Dr Sue Young

MB ChB 1990, DRCOG, MRCGP

I qualified from Leicester University in 1990. I spent a year working in Australia before joining the local general practice training scheme. I became a partner in the practice in 1996. I am interested in all aspects of General Practice I am particularly interested in Women’s health.

Dr Robert Estelrich

MB BCh, MRCP, MRCGP,DFFP

I started as a partner in August 2002. I graduated from Cardiff in 1994 and have worked in hospitals in both the UK and Australia. I have an interest in diabetes having worked in the field for several years.

Dr Sonya Naish

MBChB 1998 MRCGP DTM&H DGM DCH DFFP

I graduated from Birmingham University in 1998 and continued my training locally in Gloucestershire. I joined the practice in July 2004 as a partner. I have an interest in contraception and sexual health issues. I am a trainer for doctors in training for general practice. Outside of work I enjoy swimming and working in my garden. I am the Lead GP for the health garden project.

Dr Chris Hewer

BMedSci, BMBS (2006), DRCOG, DRFSH, MRGCP

I graduated in 2006 from Nottingham University. I continued working in Nottingham for a further 6 years before joining the practice in November 2012. I enjoy most areas of general practice and have a particular interest in family planning. I also perform joint injections. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, going walking and cooking.

Dr Ruth Thompson

MA (Cantab) MBBS MRCGP DRCOG DCH

I graduated from Cambridge University and then King’s College London in 2009. I completed my GP training locally in Gloucestershire in 2014. I enjoy all of general practice but particularly elderly care.

Dr Tara Hunt

BA(Hons) MBBS MRCGP

I trained at University College, London and qualified in 2003. I have been a GP since 2010. I am a generalist – enjoying all areas of general practice. I am particularly interested in mental health and medical education. My family and I recently moved to Gloucestershire where we are now settled.

Dr Sarah Hitchen

MBChB DRCOG MRCGP

I studied at The University of Birmingham, graduating in 1997. I have worked in both the West Midlands and Manchester before returning to my home of Cheltenham. I am interested in all aspects of general practice and have an interest in women’s health. I joined Hadwen Health in October 2002.

Dr Alex Ferguson

MBBS MRCGP DCH

I studied medicine in Newcastle and graduated in 2009. I worked in the north east of England for 2 years and and a year working in South America I moved to Gloucestershire train as a GP. I became a GP in 2015 and have been working locally since. I’m interested in all areas of medicine but palliative care in particular. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends and taking our dog for walks in the countryside.

Dr Sarah Tomlinson

BSc(Hons), BMBS, MRCGP

I graduated form Southampton University Medical School in 2015, after which I moved to Gloucestershire for my postgraduate training, and joined Hadwen in January 2023.

My areas of interest are women’s health, in particular menopause. Before I went to medical school, I spent about five years working in the pharmaceutical industry in London. Outside of work I enjoy kickboxing and am a member of a local book club.

Dr Nish Patel

MBchB MRCGP

I studied medicine at Cardiff Medical School, graduating in 2015 and worked in Wales for 7 years for training before coming to Gloucester. I am originally from Birmingham.  I am interested in all areas of medicine but in particular men’s health. In my spare time I enjoy playing cricket, going to the gym and supporting Aston Villa.

Dr Jess McElhinney (currently on maternity leave)

BMBS MRCGP

I graduated from Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry in 2014 and worked in Coventry and Warwickshire for 7 years, where I undertook my GP training. I moved to Gloucestershire in 2022 on becoming a GP and have worked at Hadwen since October 2022. 

I enjoy all areas of general practice, especially paediatrics and palliative care. In my spare time I enjoy reading and spending time with family and friends. 

Dr Olivia Watts (currently on maternity leave)

BMBS MRCGP

I studied medicine at the Peninsula College of Medicine, graduating in 2014 and worked in Cornwall for 4 years after this before moving to Gloucestershire for GP training. I became a GP in 2022 and have worked in various practices before becoming a doctor at Hadwen. I am interested in women’s health, paediatrics and respiratory medicine. In my spare time I love to bake with my daughter and play netball. 

Dr Jessie Mansell

MBChB MRCGP

I graduated from Bristol University in 2017, and went on to do my foundation training in Shropshire before coming to Gloucestershire to do my GP training. I joined Hadwen in August 2024.

I enjoy all aspects of medicine, in particular mental health, neurodiversity and health inequalities. In my spare time I enjoy making art and crafting, kickboxing and aerial skills.

Dr Silvia Di Felice

MD(Hons), MRCGP.

I studied medicine in English at University of Pavia (Italy) and graduated with honours in 2018. I completed my foundation training in the Oxford deanery and my GP training in Southampton. Prior to joining Hadwen Health, I have practiced in both the South of England and in the Midlands. I am interested in all areas of general practice, particularly women’s health and mental health.

I enjoy cooking, hiking and I have recently started playing a musical instrument.

Dr Glenn Waterhouse

MBBCh, BSc

I graduated from Swansea University in 2014 and qualified as a GP in 2019. I enjoy all areas of General Practice and work regularly for the GP Out of Hours service.

I do a lot of walking in my spare time and particularly enjoy trips to the Lake District.
